Kaolin is widely used in paper, paint, plastics, rubber, sealant, adhesive ceramics and chemical industries. For water base paint, it is a functional extender of TiO2 reducing formulation cost, improving rheology and consolidating the dry film properties of primers and undercoats. Kaolin can also extend TiO2 in solvent based gloss paints by using high speed dissolvers to cut down processing time and increase efficiency.
